Our story

Brand Story

Water — where life begins.
Star — where our curiosity leads.

Water & Star was founded by Xun Ye in 2024. As a mother, Xun draws endless inspiration from the quiet, beautiful, and chaotic moments of everyday life with her daughter.
Each piece is an art form shaped from real stories — expressing emotions that many mothers experience on a deeper, often unspoken level.

Motherhood can be busy and overwhelming, yet within that flow we still search for beauty, meaning, and the small rituals that make ordinary days feel alive.

Craftsmanship & Material

Every piece is handcrafted with S925 sterling silver.
Some designs are finished with a thick layer of 18K gold, while others remain in their natural silver tone.

We embrace sterling silver for its flexibility — its ability to be shaped, adjusted, and worn in a way that fits your life. Every woman is different, and we believe your jewelry should move with you, not the other way around.

Sustainability Commitments

We use 100% biodegradable packaging and continuously seek ways to reduce the environmental impact of our production process.
A portion of every purchase is donated to non-profit organizations dedicated to environmental protection.

Small steps matter — and we strive to honor the world our children will inherit.

Founder Story

Xun Ye grew up in Chengdu, China, and later studied Industrial Design at ArtCenter College of Design in California. She worked as an industrial designer in the United States for 11 years before stepping away from her career when she became a mother at 37.

As both a designer and a lover of jewelry, she noticed something missing in the market:
there were no jewelry brands that truly spoke to the emotional lives of mothers.

Mothers contribute endlessly to their children, families, schools, and communities — often unseen, often unacknowledged. They may look tired, they may seem ordinary, but they are the quiet force that keeps our world from falling apart.

Water & Star was created to honor that truth — to design jewelry that carries real stories, real emotions, and the quiet strength of motherhood, far beyond a simple letter engraved on a charm.
