A golden ratio heart, a fetus, a seed, a hope…
How extraordinary to find that all of these share the same original form.

Several years ago, I painted a piece while I was pregnant with my daughter Anan. At that time, I didn’t know I was pregnant yet. I painted it driven by the voice of my heart, my body. There were many heart and seed shapes in the painting. I found them very interesting, especially when I later realized how closely they overlapped with the form of the fetus in my ultrasound photo.

Later on, I accidentally discovered the golden spiral in a book, and instantly, everything connected. The heart, the seed, the fetus — all shared the same underlying structure.

Here is the necklace. Its form is derived from the golden spiral, the most perfect geometric form, yet it carries the most organic story about life and hope.
