Tiny spider necklace
The Tiny Spider necklace is inspired by my daughter’s and my favorite children’s song, Itsy Bitsy Spider.
When my daughter Anan was 17 months old, she went through a surgery and had to stay in the hospital. She cried from the pain, and I sat beside her bed, singing this song again and again. Slowly, she calmed down and eventually fell asleep.
The song tells a simple story:
a tiny spider is washed out by the rain,
but after the sun comes out, it climbs up again.
It is a gentle and wonderful story that teaches us this:
all difficulties will pass, and no matter how small or how old we are, we will always find the strength to climb up—again and again.
